Messed up .NET 4.5 on Windows 8

Okay so all started when I wanted to start the Game Watch Dogs. It gave me an error 0xc000142 which seems to be an .NET related error. I have Windows 8.1 Professional x64. So I tried everything to repair my .NET with the Repair tool and the Cleanup Tool nothing worked. So I figured I'd run an inplace repair from my install disk. This ended in a BlueScreen at the end of the Setup and it reverted to my Old Windows state. Everything worked so far but I noticed my Catalyst Control Center was not opening anymore which also is .NET related. I then installed .NET 4.5.2 and since I did this Catalyst Control Center at least gives me an Error message. This application requires one of the following versions of the .NET Framework:
.NETFramework, Version=v4.5
Do you want to install this .NET Framework version now?

I tried to uninstall 4.5.2 again and reinstall it and I scanned it with netfx setup verifier which gives me the same error from .NET 4.0 upwards.

I'm pretty desperate since 4.5 should be a part of Windows 8.1 and I have no tools to reinstall or repair it. I also tried sfc /scannow but nothing works. I hope anyone can help me.

And so on and so on. There seem to be a lot of files missing but what can I do to restore them? Thanks for any help. I really couldn't find anything remotely close to this elsewhere

.NET not installed after start-up

I installed .NET framework then it required a pc reboot. When it finally restarted, I cannot find any sign that the installation is successful. I even looked at Control Panel but its not there.

When I try to re-install it, it displays an error It is already installed but all the programs that requires it is still not working suggesting me to install it. please tell me what to do.

Hi all,

I am doing Nessus scans on my server and one issue that comes up is that my dotNET version is old. 

I am running Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 on a windows 2008 r2 server.

The scan reports this:

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\system.dll has not been patched
    Remote version : 2.0.50727.5467
    Should be : 2.0.50727.5484

I can't find any reverence online on where to obtain the patch that upgrades to the mentioned version of system.dll.

Can anyone please help me find the actual patch that needs to be installed ? 

According to the MS updates on the server , all relevant updates are already installed.

I get this message when I play GTA San Andreas for more than 1hr, and game just suddenly stops. I reinstalled the game, updated .Net Framework to latest version, but I still get those messages.

Please help solve this problem.

OS: Windows Embedded 8 (NET Framework 4.5 already installed)

Detailed error message:

Action: Performing Action on Exe at C:\0a4ee85cabca37cb01957c\enu\Setup.exe

Original exit code: C:\0a4ee85cabca37cb01957c\enu\Setup.exe returned non-MSI error code: 0x3b01 - The resource loader cache doesn't have loaded MUI entry.
Modified exit code: C:\0a4ee85cabca37cb01957c\enu\Setup.exe returned error code: 0x643 - Fatal error during installation.
 
Exe (C:\0a4ee85cabca37cb01957c\enu\Setup.exe) failed with 0x80070643 - Fatal error during installation. .

Already tried: Extensive Google research,

Chkdsk /B and sfc /scannow,

Anyway: What is the "MUI entry" the resource loader does not have?

Hello ive been trying to install .NET Framework for a few weeks now and ive looked at many MANY fixes and none of them work. ive tryed: useing the .NET clean up tool. cleaning the %temp folder. turning off anti-virus. running the setup as Administrator. Ive tryed everything and i cant install it. and the error i get it says: Installation Did Not Succeed - Fatal error during installation. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Cannot install hotfix KB2600088

Hello,

I run webserver on Win 2012R 64bit.

I have troubles with browser detection in ASP.NET a I found hotfix for it.

I successfully installed 436907_intl_x64_zip and sites running on 64 bit runs well.
But there is couple sites that need 32 bit support (MS Access). For those should be hotfix 436906_intl_i386_zip.

I am not able to install it - "KB2600088 does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your computer".

It seems .NET 4.5 causes it.

Would you be so kind to help me, how to repair 32 bit ASP.NET?

.NET Framework 3.5 will not install

Hi Everyone,

I am running Windows 8.1 on MS Surface Pro and I am trying to install Windows essentials.  When I try to install it, I get told I need to install .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0), but it will not install.  I get the error code 0x800F0906.

Any help would be great.
