Hello,

Can you offer suggestions on how to fix this error?  This error occurs on my Windows 2012 Standard Edition servers.  I have looked at the active process IDs to try to match the process ID reported along with the error, but task manager/details does not list the ID.  So, I can't determine what application is failing.  Any help would be much appreciated?

I have O/S windows vista home basic SP2 license copy
while installing .Net Framework 1.1 on my laptop i receive following message:

i know msiexec command line params, the INSTALLLEVEL prop and the ADDLOCAL prop. But is there a way to use the default and just add one other feature, that is not default?

Further explanation. i have a setup with almost 30 features. 20 are default. I want to install all default features and two more. Do i have to write all 22 features in command line with ADDLOCAL=.........................................??

I have recently tried to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0, but it encountered a fatal error. I'm learning C# and Visual Basic.

I downloaded XNA Game Studio for my Visual C# Express 2010.

XNA works on my Visual C# 2010 but I cannot see any "XNA Game Studio 4.0" section in my Visual Basic 2010 !

Why and What should I do to repair it ?

I am running the full setup for .net 4.5 and it is crawling.  It has been running for over an hour and is using virtually 0 cpu disk reads 6 writes 27 io other 2010.  This is running on a 6 core 3.2 ghz 16 gb machine. 

Any ideas????

I recently re-installed Windows 8.1 on my PC. I tried installing a driver from HP's website but the application doesn't seems to recognize that I have the NET. Framework installed, I checked with NET. Framework Verification Tool and it shows the Framework as installed. I did some research online and this seems to happen because:

"After some investigation, I discovered a problem with the detection logic that is documented in the .NET Framework 4.5.1 Deployment Guide for Developers. The deployment guide says that an application can test whether the .NET Framework 4.5 or later is installed by checking the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v4\Full folder in the registry for a DWORD value named Release. A value of 378758 means that the .NET Framework 4.5.1 is installed. This logic works correctly for the redistributable version of the .NET Framework 4.5.1. However, on Windows 8.1, the Release value is set to 378675 instead, so this logic doesn’t work on Windows 8.1.  The .NET Framework 4.5.1 is installed as a part of the OS on Windows 8.1."
