Windows 7 64bit. I uninstalled .NET Framework 3.5. Trying to re-install but failing.
Hello. I believe (cannot completely remember) that I uninstalled .NET Framework 3.5 awhile ago. I then installed .NET Framework 4.0. But, for a game I was trying to play, I needed to have the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 checked on in "Turn Windows Features On and Off". Every time I tried it would fail. This led me to believe I had to re-install 3.5. I uninstalled .NET Framework 4.0. When I tried to re-install .NET Framework 3.5 that installation also failed.
Here is the error that I get with the installation:

".NET Framework 2.0 Component for Windows XP Embedded Service Pack 2" installation problems
I downloaded the .NET Framework 2.0 Component for Windows XP Embedded Service Pack 2, but when I tried to install it, it extracted a whole bunch of files and then said that it "cannot connect to database." I have a Windows XP computer and I've tried to re-download and install it, but it has the same error. Why isn't it working?

Install .net requierd from a single portable .exe application
Hello
i am creating an application that is a single .exe file ,clients will download that file that will directly work without the need to set it up
my question is how to check the .net version be4 running and install it from the same location if it is not installed
of course i know how to check the .net version and how to call another application from mine but the problem is that my application wont start if the required .net version is not installed, clients wont agree with the setup package , they only need the updated .exe file only without the need to run setup file everytime an update happens
so one more time is there anyway to that .exe file to check the installed .net version be4 starting and install it be4 running?

.net frame work date format after OS migration.
HI Guys,
I am supporting .net application which was runnning under framework1 windows 2003. I have upgraded the OS to Windows 2008 (.net fram work 2) . After OS upgrade ,date format passed from application to SQL is changed to (Monday, July 22, 2013 00:00:00 ) . Previously it was dd/mm/yyyy time format.
I tried changing regionsl global setting in server . No luck.
I dont have source code with me to debug what is happening inside.
Please show some light.

Cannot install Microsoft Framework 4.0 on Windows 7
I did spend a lot of time looking for solutions online, and reviewing previous threads to this problem. I apologize, but I'm not very tech savvy, and was a bit lost at many of the steps. So I decided to ask personally.
I downloaded Framework 4.0 from the Microsoft site with the added security program. When I tried to open up the program, it would get a little bit into verifying files, and then hang.
I used the cleanup program, then tried downloading the Standalone version. This one got past the verifying files stage, but the second bar (the installation progress), wouldn't even start.
When I try to click cancel, nothing happens. I have to use task manager and wait a few minutes to force the program closed.
I really don't know what the problem is, and any help would be wonderful.

Error installing KB2836941 and KB2844285 .NETFramework 2.0 Windows Updates
I am installing KB283691 and KB2844285 on my VM (Windows XP Service Pack 3). Neither installs and give the error:
Trnasform SP1.1 invalid for package C:\Windows\Installer\250318.msi . Expected product version == 2.3.30730, found version== 2.2.30729.
I cannot seem to find a clear solution.

Installation of Azure hangs
I am trying to install ASP MVC but the installation of Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Express does not finish. It still shows Installing Azure and the progress meter never stops.
I have already tried stopping my anti-virus software temporarily but the installation does not continue.
What can I do to install Azure?

0xc0000142 error running any .Net applications
Second occurrence in a month. First occurrence resulted in a re-image of the machine.
Windows 7 Enterprise 64
Logged off my machine last night. Logged in this morning and now receiving the following error when running any .Net applications.
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application.
Also get the error when trying to build applications using Visual Studio 2010.
Steps taken while attempting to resolve:
- Removed and re-installed all .Net layers- Ran full repair
on Visual Studio 2010 installation
- Ran Microsoft Dependency Checker against several of the application .exe files but was unable to determine the missing resource
- Ran Microsoft System File Checker (SFC) without result
- Ran Microsoft Safety Scanner without result
- Booted into safe mode and tested applications but received same error
Any help on where to post this or how to resolve the problem would be most appreciated as I don't want to re-image again if avoidable.

Microsoft® C/C++ Compiler Driver has encountered a problem and needs to close.
First, yes I have googled this. Nothing is quite like what I'm expirencing and I cannot find a solution.
I am on Windows XP and am trying to simply build a C++ project on Visual Studios 2010. I have created a project on a Windows 7 machine and I was trying to get it running on this machine. However, it's not the code that is at fault because I can start up an entirely new project, hit compile, and I still get this error. I have tried uninstalling, installing Windows SDK 7.1, Reinstalling and updateing my compiler. Can't seem to get it work. In the Error list, it mentions:
error MSB6006: "CL.exe" exited with code -1073741819.
I've googled that error, no luck. The C++ compiler just crashes every time I try to build something. Can't figure out what's going wrong.

I'm using this code to get the artist and the song that I listen:

Where can I download the full (standalone installer) version of .NET 4.5?
All I can find is this:
dotNetFx45_Full_setup.exe
which is only the 982k setup program not the full\network\standalone module.
