Hi guys,

this is my first time posting on the fourms so please feel free to redirect me to the right catagory. Basically I need a really legacy add-on that runs on Visio 2003/2007. It's called Galley manager, the problem is I can't find the following software ANYWHERE. I understand it's very old, but surely they must still be avalible?

Software is as follows..

.NETFramework,Version=v4.5,Profile=Client

$

Hello,

I have a project written in c++/CLI which compiles in VS 2010 using

using NETFramework,Version=v4.0Profile=Client.

Now I also installed VS 2013 nd let VS 2013 upgrade the Project files.

When I now compile my Project I get the warning

warning MSB3644: The reference assemblies for framework ".NETFramework,Version=v4.5,Profile=Client" were not found.

I thought the installer of VS 2013 had already installed this.

So where can I find an installer for .NETFramework,Version=v4.5,Profile=Client ?

Error while migrating .NET framework 3.5 to 4.5

Hi,

We are migrating our Web applications from .NET framework 3.5 to 4.5

On our development machines, we are using VS2012 and run Windows 7 OS

In this process we got the following error

"The base class includes the field 'htmlTag', but its type (System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlGenericControl) is not compatible with the type of
 control (System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlElement)"

The corresponding HTML is

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" class="no-js" runat="server" id="htmlTag">

And the corresponding designer code is (.cs.designer file)

protected global::System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlGenericControl htmlTag;

To fix this issue we followed the steps given at this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941824/en-us

In essence we just cut the HTML and paste it back.. and the designer code is regenerated as follows

protected global::System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlElement htmlTag;

This looks logical way to fix the issue and it also worked on few machines but the same fix broke code on other developer machines and especially code deployed to our production web server too. Please note, we run Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter on our production server and we have .Net Framework 4.5 installed on the machine. The following is the error we get after the change

"The base class includes the field 'htmlTag' but its type (System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlElement) is not compatible with the type of control (System.Web.UI.HtmlControls.HtmlGenericControl)"

You see the error message is just opposite to the first error message in this post

In those machines which now error, if we just leave the type of the control to HTMLGenericControl the error goes away

We tried to compare the .net framework related service packs on the machines that work vs the ones that dont and we really did not notice anything that could possibly cause the error

This situation is unacceptable since we have teams spread across multiple geographic locations and we cannot coordinate with each of them about the way to fix their local environment. More over we cannot check-in this file with changes since it will break for many people and releasing this to production is going to be difficult too

Could you please help us resolve this issue

Thanks,

Siva

unattended install of .net 4.5.1 with sccm 2012

$

hi everyone,

i am trying to create an unattended install of .net 4.5.1 using sccm 2012.

My command line is "NDP451-KB2858728-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe" /quiet /log C:\net451.logand it is set up to install for system whether user is logged in or not.The install starts and I can see the process run for the NDP451-KB2858728-x86-x64-AllOS-ENU.exe but then nothing happens, it just hangs whether there is a user logged in or not and it doesn’t even create the log file. Again, this is through sccm. If I just run from the command line, it works. Sccm seems to be doing its job of triggering the installer to run, but something must be going wrong. If I change the cmd line and remove the quiet command, it then works through sccm, but prompts for input (agreeing to terms) which we dont want.

any ideas would be appreciated.

compatibility of 4.5.1

I use an application for commodities trading. I have to uninstall .Net framework 4.5.1 in order to run the trading software. Their tech support doesn't have any fixes.  If you go to http://www.oaktrading.com/and click on Oak Desktop you'll be able to access their software.  If you can get to their login screen it's working (you don't have to be logged in to determine if it works).  I'm using Windows 7 and I've tried other versions of .Net framework without any luck.

This wasn't always the case.  It first started in February of this year.  Before then it worked fine.  I may have been using 3.5 at that time - but the results are the same.  I have to delete .Net Framework in order for it to work.

Visual Studio does not detect .NET Framework 4

Hello, I have installed Visual Studio 2010 Professional, which also installed .NET Framework 4.

When I try to create a new project, it only gives me the option to use Frameworks 2, 3 and 3.5 . v4.0 does not appear on the drop down list.

Also, when I try opening a .NET Framework 4 project I get the "this project is targeting ".NET Framework=v4.0"" error.

I've used the tool to see if .NET Framework 4 is correctly installed, and it is!

I don't understand, I've uninstalled and installed Framework 4 and VS2010 a thousand times, clean installs and all and VS still does not detect that Framework 4 is installed. I've also tried installing the standalone version of Framework 4, but no dice. Please help, I'm desperate!

My system is Windows 7 x64 Home Premium, 8g ram, intel i7...

Thanks!

Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate Downloaded from DreamSpark Fails Installation - Missing WebDeploy_x64.msi

Greetings,

I downloaded VS2012 Ultimate from DreamSpark (college faculty) and began an install on my Win7 64 bit/8GB RAM desktop.  It failed and reported "Unable to locate source" and listed C:\VS2012Download\Visual Studio Ultimate 2012 (x86) - Web Installer (English)\packages\WebDeploy\WebDeploy_x64.msi as the missing file.   After I cancel I receive the final message:  "A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file.".

I also have a clean Azure instance of 2008 Svr R2 that I attempted the installation on and received the same results.  I suspect the download.  Any ideas?

Thanks much!

Install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 Multi-Targeting Pack for VS 2012 use

$

At one point I had entries in my Programs and Features list labeled Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 Multi-Targeting Pack and Microsoft .NET Framework SDK.  I unstalled both of these features for various reasons. I am now trying to get these two items re-installed.

I downloaded and installed the manual install routine titled dotnetfx45_full_x86_x64.exe.  After I was left with only one entry titled Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.  I did not see a download option for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 SDK on the following blog

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dotnet/p/dotnet_sdks.aspx#

Ultimately, I need to target the 4.5 Framework in a console app using Visual Studio 2012.

Although I have the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 entry listed in Programs and Features the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 option is not available as a choice in the Visual Studio 2012 Target framework dropdown.

I have Windows 7 with Visual Studio 2012.

Does anyone know how or which download is appropriate so that I can target framework 4.5 in VS 2012?

.NET Framework doesn't work. Can't find/install/uninstall

$

Hello,

I'm sorry if it doesn't belong here, I have no idea where to ask this.

I own a HP ProBook 4740s with Windows 8 and a week ago, I started receiving errors on startup. CLI.exe and MOM.exe NET Framework Initialization Errors. Both with message ''to run this application you first must install one of the following versions of the .net framework v4.0''. I am aware that both are related to Catalyst Control Center. Later, I got the same error message when I tried to play one of my games. Obviously I downloaded .NET Framework v4.0 and tried to install it to fix those problems, but the installer immediately stoped and said that there is same or higher version of .net framework already installed. I tried to uninstall it, so I can re-install it again with the correct version, but I couldn't find .NET Framework in Control Panel's Programs and Features and when I downloaded and used Framework cleanup tool it did nothing. I also tried installing version 4.5 but I got Same or higher version of .Net Framework has already been installed on this computer error message again. So when I can't install it nor uninstall it, what can I do? Thanks for your help
