Is this from a bad WSUS update of some sort?  We don't typically install .NET 4.0 for anything specifically, but we run a variety of Microsoft software.  Thanks.

I am stuck unable to install the .NET Frame 4. I have and tried many different fixes posted on these forums. I have tried renaming the assembly folder, editing the registry permissions, cleaning up the TEMP areas before, etc.

I've tried everything. Removed all firewall and antivirus. Removed the Framework 4.o that I had. Everytime I try the cleanup tool it works but trying to install the framework ends with a "Did not succeed" with a 0x80070643 error. I've tried unchecking .NET 3.5 from programs and it acts like it's going to uninstall and on reboot it says it fails, reverting back. I've tried 4.5.1 and it fails. Can anyone help with this?

RegSvcs.exe keeps automatically opening even if I close it.

I have tried to find answers from Google but no luck yet.

I have runned full scan and nothing can be found with F-Secure, AVG antivirus and Malwarebytes.

So I thought this is Framework problem/error.

    Daily I spend lot of time in travelling.  I am planning to buy a netbook so that I can use it while travelling to my office.  My question is if I install visual studio 2008/10 on my netbook will work properly?  Will netbook be able to execute visual studio and other tools efficiently?
    In short, can I use netbook as my development machine?  Because what I have heard is netbook is nothing but mini laptops and it is mostly used for internet browsing.  But can these mini laptops behave like a development machine?

During a recent electrical storm, I lost my internet, when I turned it back on my Outlook Express is totall messed up,  I lost saved folders which contained files I was keeping as well as my address book. So i have tried installing .NET Framework 4.5 for awhile now. Every time i try to it's because of this program i use to boost my computers gaming capabilities called Razer Game Booster. My computer has been crashing while playing one of my favorite games, and until i get a new computer (which cannot happen for another few months) I would like to fix this. The main problem is because the game booster has to update but one of the programs is requires to install into the computer is 4.5. The game boosters manager updates in 2 or so minutes, but than 4.5 has to install and it does the download thing first and that goes by quickly. Than it goes to install and it takes hours upon hours, long enough to where i don't have any time to sit or just let my laptop sit there and update. If anyone has any ways on how i could fix this it would be much appreciated, thanks.

We are facing a issue in a our Mobile Banking app built on ASP.NET 2.0. Sometimes, when we load the mobile website[https://mobile.dib.ae] from iPhone or any Android phones, log-in page will never get loaded. When the log-in page fails to load in iPhone/iPad, it’s giving us an option to download the login.aspx as a file. In some cases it shows download failed [Safari & Chrome]. In Android phone default browser, we are getting a different behavior when the log-in page fails to load. In Android phones its showing an error message as if the page was considered as a XML file and one special character in the xml file causing issue. [Images are shown below& attached].

We are not getting the same issue in staging. Production fails randomly.

We have three servers and load balancing is in place for production. We tried to access the site many times from different iOS and android versions and was successful with each of the servers. We have even tried connecting the mobile site by turning off all the servers except one, alternatively. All the servers worked fine individually. But it failed in the same mobile after clearing cache and cookies sometimes.

This behavior is random and we haven’t able to figure out the root cause yet. There is no error in our log files or DB.

There was security updates on all the servers before this issue started happening. We haven't uninstalled it yet.

There were no updates on the filrewall F5.

When we checked the IIS logs after a failed page load with the IP of mobile, we found there was only one entry made and it was for the favicon. We don't have favicon from the beginning and 404 error for favicon is since we started the site. As the only entry was for favicon and as it returns an error 404 just considering that possibility.
