.NET Framework Installation Fatal Error 0x80070643
Hello
My .NET Framework 4 Setup keeps erroring out with error code 0x80070643. I've included my error log below. After reading through other forum posts I've verified I'm running Windows Installer 4.5 or later (5.0.something), I've checked its integrity using SFC and unregistered/reregistered it. I have Windows Installer set to Manual in services, not disabled. I do not have an "Enum" key at KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSIServer. Let me know if there is any other information I can provide or what other steps I can take to get this issue squared away. Thanks!

WinForms application performing bad with .NET 4.7
Hi,
We recently upgraded our machines to Windows 10, with .NET Framework 4.7.
Unfortunately we are now facing performance issues with our WinForms business applications.
Constructing the GUI interface takes a lot more time than it did on Windows 7 (with .NET 4.6).
I figured out .NET Framework 4.7 is causing this performance degradation. When I install this version of the framework on a Windows 7 machine I see the same performance degradation.
Has anyone encountered similar problems? Maybe someone found even a solution for this problem?

.Net Framework Fatal error
Have not been able to install new .net framework versions for a long time. I've tried windows update, the net fix repair tool (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135), .net versions 4.0.30319, 4.5, 4.5.2, 4.6.2 and 4.7.2 to no avail.
Please let me know what logs or other information would be helpful. Thank you.

- Where did you get it (web page, path, application that redistributed the framework) https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/dotnet-framework-runtime/net462
- Is this a pre-release, CTP or beta version? Which? (Beta#, CTP (Month Year), RC, etc) Don't believe so.
- What .NET Framework Patches do you currently have installed v2.0.50727 v3.0 v3.5
Not sure if this is related but i have never been able to install this important windows update. This is the only important update
i do not have installed.

How to avoid common .Net DLLs getting stored locally in Temporary ASP.Net files
Hello All,
I've a web application which has a reference to some DLLs (Size is ~270 MB). When i deploy the application in the IIS server for 20 different clients, the DLLs are being copied to 20 times in Temporary ASP.Net location (i.e) one set for each IIS website.
I anticipate more clients shortly and eventually the Temporary ASP.Net storage would also get increase by copying the DLL for each instance. Is there a way to avoid this multiple copies of the same DLLs in Temporary ASP.Net file ?
Would it solve the problem if i move those DLLs to GAC ?
My intentions is to avoid caching of common DLLs in the Temporary ASP.Net files for each IIS website instance.

After installing a windows service via installutill, the process is listed on windows services, but when trying to attach it for debugging the service is not listed on available processes on visual studio.

Net Framework 3.5 and 4.5 error 0x80070002
I'm sure there are many many threads about this same issue, I've read some but I still havent been able to fix my problem. It's been a while since I got this error, can't use many programs that I have and it's getting irritating. I'm running Win 8.1 like most people that has this same issue. I don't know much about this stuff and I really need this issue fixed.
I ran NetFxRepairTool and gathered many logs,

UWP Wifi Direct gets exeption code 0x288 (ERROR_DEVICE_ENUMERATION_ERROR)
I have create a wifi direct sample to connect and transfer data between windows 10 devices but I got an issue: if I use normal wifi (from internet provider) then everything runs normally. But if I use restrict wifi (within a LAN configured by my organization) then I get the exception throws the error ERROR_DEVICE_ENUMERATION_ERROR (The "%hs" encountered an error while applying power or reading the device configuration. This may be caused by a failure of your hardware or by a poor connection).
I searched for the error code (ERROR_DEVICE_ENUMERATION_ERROR) 0x288 then it said the error caused by Windows Update, but I updated the devices following the instruction, but it did not work.
Does anyone have any idea to fix this?

Can't install Microsoft.net Framework 4.0 "Fatal Error"
Okay, so first off, you are going to need to be patient with me as I am quite ignorant. But I have checked around and have found nothing helpful. I have tried cleaning .net framework with the cleanup tools but nothing has worked. So I decided to post my own topic to get help. I can post logs but to be honest I am not 100% sure how. How to install .Net Framework 3.5 on Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter
Hello,
I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter server and it has .Net Framework 4.5 installed on it. However, I am trying to install .Net Framework 3.5 on it, which is required for other application.
I tried to install it using Adding Roles and Features Wizard, when selected option .Net Framework 3.5 Features, it says "Do you need to specify alternate source path? One or more installation selections are missing source files..." and due to which it fails to install.
I have also tried with .Net package downloaded from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21 but it didn't worked. Also tried to install it by mounting Win 2012 ISO on the server and by specifying SxS folder location but still it didn't worked.
Please let me know if you know how to install it.
