Issue installing software for gaming mouse
Hi Guys,
I recently bought a Ttesports gaming mouse, the Black V2, and part of the process of getting it all set up on my pc was to also install their command center which is a GUI where you can change features like the DPI, your profile etc. I downloaded the command center from the ttesports official page for the mouse.
The file lands as a zip file with a .exe inside, which I've run and installed. It requires me to restart my pc at the end, which I have done, but after all this I get the following issue when trying to go into the software:
Micorsoft .NET Framework
Unhandled exception has occured in a component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
I don't really know what to do. I've tried uninstalling it, re-installing it and running the setup as admin, I've tried running the program itself as admin from the start bar, and I'm still getting the same issue. From my limited understanding it looks like it might be trying to store a profile in a OneDrive location which it doesn't have permission to access?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'm running the latest update, please help.
Windows 10 Pro.Windows 7 x64 Net Framework 4.7.1 and 4.7.2 install error
In a PC with Windows Home Premium SP1 x64 I have tried to install Net Framework 4.7.1 and 4.7.2 without success. In every case I obtained the same results:
Returning IDOK. INSTALLMESSAGE_ERROR [Error 997.Se está ejecutando la operación de E/S superpuesta. ]
Returning IDOK. INSTALLMESSAGE_ERROR [Error 997.Error 997.Se está ejecutando la operación de E/S superpuesta. ]
PerformOperation returned 1603 (translates to HRESULT = 0x80070643)
I have installed in this PC the Net Framework 3.5, 4.5, 4.5.1, 4.6, 4.6.1 and 4.7, including the SDK versions. I have "repair" every Net Framework installed, run the Net Framework Repair Tool, check the integrity of the packages, run the sfc command,
etc., etc., etc., etc..., but nothing work. It´s seems that the problem is with some kind of SHA control, and obviously, every task is performmed with Administer rigths.

C# API/code to find out if a local user's password was never set to expire
I was trying to find out a Microsoft API, which would help me in getting the local user's setting which says password never expires. I was searching a property in
using (var userEntry = new System.DirectoryServices.DirectoryEntry("WinNT://" + domain + '/' + user + ",user"))
{DateTime expiryDate = (DateTime)userEntry.InvokeGet("PasswordExpirationDate");}
Needed a similar property to "PasswordExpirationDate" which would tell me whether the user's password setting is set ot expire or not. Or a way to get that in C# code through some other API.
Any leads/help in this regard is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Request to long IIS 7 application preventing resources to download
Hi All,
I have 2 application hosted on IIS under same domain eg: domain/app1 and domain/CDN (to download resources like js/css).
when tried to access the domain/app1 ( under domain/app1 create a cookie during authentication which appear to be huge) , referring resources under CDN app, but get response as 400 bad request.
Is there a way i can increase the size of request cookie to accepted in IIS server.
I tried below part of code in web config of CDN app but didnt help.
<configuration><system.web><httpRuntimemaxRequestLength="1048576"/></system.web></configuration>
<system.webServer><security><requestFiltering><requestLimitsmaxAllowedContentLength="1073741824"/></requestFiltering></security></system.webServer>
Can you please guide me what I might be missing.

Visual Studio Installer displays a blank installation page
After successfully using VS 2017 for over a year, my system crashed and I needed to reinstall Windows 10 from scratch. When I tried to reinstall Visual Studio 2017 Community, I launched the Installer, just to find that is displays a blank page. The page appears to be active, as I can sense the active workload areas and the "help" popups, but it shows merely as a frame outline.
I am using a Lenovo ThinkPad W520, 24 MB memory, 500 MB SSD.
Windows 10 Pro, version 1709
Intel DH Graphics 3000, version 9.17.10.4459.
NVIDIA Quadro 1000M, version 7761
I have tried some suggestions found elsewhere in this portal: Opening the installer a second time, and disabling the NVIDIA driver. None of these actions have any effect.
I cannot attach any logs as I cannot go any further than the launching of the installer
I am dead in the water and facing a deadline. Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Net Framework 3.5 and 4.5 error 0x80070002
I'm sure there are many many threads about this same issue, I've read some but I still havent been able to fix my problem. It's been a while since I got this error, can't use many programs that I have and it's getting irritating. I'm running Win 8.1 like most people that has this same issue. I don't know much about this stuff and I really need this issue fixed.
I ran NetFxRepairTool and gathered many logs,
https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=9228C7B477019333&id=9228C7B477019333%21105
Hopefully someone will have an answer as to how to solve my problem.
Edit: 0x80070002 is the error i get everytime i try to reinstall or enableReg key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\pngfile\shell missing OPEN sub key for many systems
Hi,
I am trying to use the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\pngfile\shell\open to fetch the command to open PNG files, however I have see that many systems do not have the OPEN sub key and faile to open any application.
Could you tell me how can I get this entry for all systems? Is there a fix already available for this case? I am using all WIN10 systems for this.

Missing EnterpriseServices.dll Version
Several systems which run my software (POSReady2009 systems) are missing the System.EnterpriseServices DLL. I have verified their .NET Framework is current up to the full .NET 4.0, however they don't have any higher version of .NET installed. When I run the gacutil command to list the components on the system, the only entry I see on their system is:
System.EnterpriseServices, Version=1.0.5000.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a
On my test environment which also is current up to .NET 4.0 (and not beyond) when I run the gacutil utility I see the following two entries for System.EnterpriseServices:
System.EnterpriseServices, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a, processorArchitecture=AMD64
System.EnterpriseServices, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a, processorArchitecture=x86
They assure me that they have run the full .NET 4.0 installer and that they have also tried the repair function on the installer. Does anyone have an idea why their environment would not install these DLLs since they are part of .NET?
Thanks!
Refresh Partial View
Hi,
I am developing a Web Application with Asp.NET MVC5. As I dont have much experience, I am stuck with a functionality using JQuery
and Partial View.
I have a Side Menu as a partial view in a page. This partial view contains a DropdownList which is populated from model, and it
works fine. However, I want to display a list of items from the db when the dropdown is selected, based on the selection, which is not working.
Partial View (_UserPartialView)
$('#dropdown').change(function(){
var item = $(this).val();
$.get("/Controller/GetItems/" + item, function(data)
{
('#target').html(data);
});
Controller
public ActionResult (int id)
{
var test = db.Users.Where(e => e.cId = id);
return PartialView(" _UserPartialView", test);
}
Please help.

System.Net.Http Reference Issues NuGet vs. Local MSBuild Directory Reference
Hello!
We've been encountering an issue with MSBuild where it is referencing a System.Net.Http.dll in Visual Studio's framework compared to our other package reference locations.
For some reason even though we do not have packages installed in any project, MSBuild resolves all but one of the packages from our directory. This last System.Net.Http.dll is provided by MSBuild's directory location.
The way we resolved this issue was to remove the reference to Visual Studio's MSBuild directory to which it started to reference the correct package location.
The question I wanted to ask was is there a better way to resolve this issue? (Current workarounds or an actual solution)
We thought that just adding it to the NuGet server may be the best workaround but it seems that this reference issue shouldn't happen in the first place.
Thanks :)
