.NET 4.7.2 Broken by Windows Server Upgrade

Hi all,

I've encountered a strange problem with .NET 4.7.2

I had a Server 2008 R2 with .NET 4.7.2 installed. I performed an in-place Windows upgrade to Server 2012 R2.

After doing so, the upgraded server seems to have corrupted/lost the .NET 4.7.2 

In the Registry, it detects .NET 4.6.1

When I tried to use the .NET 4.7.2 offline installer, it gave me the Repair and Uninstall options, and neither of them the options actually did anything. The IIS sites running on the server also do not detect .NET 4.7.2

Any assistance/guidance is appreciated.
